8.5.2020 - VE Day Celebrations:
Hello children, hope you all had chance to celebrate and reflect/remember VE Day. With my family, we made our own bunting and decorations, observed the 2 minute silence on our doorstep and we had afternoon tea whilst listening to World War 2 songs. It was a day of reflection of the past, of all those that sacrificed so much for the freedom we enjoy today; and the present, thinking of those who are working so hard on the front line in hospitals, battling Covid-19.
With this Friday being a special day to celebrate VE 75, I have found a link to share with you: songs of World War 2. I hope you enjoy listening to them with your family. Below are some questions I would like you to consider when listening to these nostalgic songs.
The Songs & Music Of World War II: #1930s #1940s Songs Associated With #WorldWar2 Past Perfect

Year 1 & 2 Musical Workshop
On Monday 17th June, Year 1 & 2 had the privilege of receiving a music workshop from Geoff (BlueJam). Geoff taught us an original rap song all about the importance of recycling and caring for our world. We incorporated our RainSticks (made from junk recycling) that we made in class with Mrs Richardson.
We are SO excited to share this song, along with all the other songs we are learning for our Little Big Sing Concert on Monday 1st July.
